On the occasion of September 27, World Tourism Day, the Ministry of Economy gave awards to the most successful representatives of the tourism sector in the country. Proposals this year were made together with tourist associations and chambers, taking into account the reports of the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism, and the activities of the committees working on the categorization of hotels, restaurants and licensing of tourist agencies. University of Tourism and Management was honored for cooperation in tourism for 2016 in the category faculties. The recognition of the University awarded Mr. Shevket Hazari, Advisor for Tourism and Recreation at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Macedonia.
